Proxmox VE HA cluster with HBA-based FC storage

I build a three-node Proxmox VE 8.4 HA cluster that uses Fibre Channel storage attached through HBA cards. Management, cluster, corporate VLAN and Proxmox Backup Server traffic run on separate networks, and the cluster network uses LACP bonding.
What the article covers
- Corporate network through SDN: a zone on a VLAN-aware bridge and a tagged VNet
- Verifying HBA cards with lspci and the fc_host sysfs entries; optional LUN rescan
- Installing multipath-tools, reading LUN WWIDs with scsi_id and defining path policy and alias in /etc/multipath.conf
- Verifying with multipath -ll
- Creating an LVM volume group on the multipath device and adding it as shared LVM storage across all nodes from the Datacenter view
- Checking with lsblk, lvs, vgs, pvs and pvdisplay, then adding VMs to an HA group
